Year 6 have been finishing off their artwork this week. We began our unit by looking at Diego Rivera, who was influenced by Mayan artwork. We then looked at the importance of symbolism, the popularity of street art and finally practised a technique called Chiaroscuro, which showcases light and dark tones in drawings. We used all of these influences to create a final piece of work and we are very proud of it!
