Year 5 DT

This week, as part of our DT lessons around healthy eating, Year 5 have been making bolognaise. The pupils worked in groups of 6 to make the dish from scratch. They decided how to adapt the recipe to suit their own tastes thinking about healthy ingredients to add (celery, carrots, mushrooms etc).
They each took turns chopping, grating and stirring the ingredients. They even all washed up! When it came to tasting their dish, most said it was delicious and were eager to have seconds.
