This week, in English, we have been exploring poetry with particular focus on animals. We analysed the theme, vocabulary, structure and how it made us feel. After improving a poem using nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs, we wrote our poem in a shape we thought suited the theme. We are now planning our own poem based on a creature we particularly dislike. Ask your children to recite it once they are finished!
