Year 3 had an exciting visit from Katie Dresser, a geotechnical engineer. She spoke to us about rocks and soils and brought in lots of rocks for us to look at. We remembered what we had learnt in out topic about igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks and could classify the rocks we looked at. We enjoyed examining the fossils and thinking about the animals that made them. It was very interesting to meet someone who uses science in their job.
