This week in DT, Year 4 had the challenging task of designing a pavilion (a light, flexible shelter). Their first task was to create a stable structure design, that would stand without support, using toothpicks and marshmallows. The children worked brilliantly as a team and were proud of their efforts. The children then reviewed their designs, selected appropriate materials to construct a stable, free-standing structure for their pavilion with an innovative flourish! They were a huge success and the children felt immensely proud of their achievements!
